Crypto is in many ways the ideal market for order flow: it trades 24/7, the data is granular, and exchange APIs expose every trade. Applying footprint and delta analysis to Bitcoin and altcoins gives you a read on aggression that price-only charts hide.

Reading the Bitcoin footprint
The same principles apply. Look for absorption at round numbers and prior swing levels — crypto respects psychological levels strongly. Watch for delta divergence at highs after a strong run, where price grinds up but aggressive buying fades. And use imbalances to separate a genuine breakout from a stop-run that snaps straight back.
Altcoins: handle with care
Lower-cap altcoins have thinner books, so a single large order distorts the footprint. Order flow still works, but treat signals on illiquid alts with more skepticism and size down accordingly.
Our indicator lets you bring footprint, delta and imbalance to crypto charts on supported platforms. Which venue's data do you trust most for clean Bitcoin order flow? Share your setup in the thread.

What is different about crypto
- 24/7 sessions: there is no closing bell, so "session" levels are defined by UTC day boundaries or by major exchange activity rather than a futures pit.
- Fragmented liquidity: volume is split across many exchanges. Use a major venue (or aggregated data) so your footprint reflects the real book, not a thin one.
- Reflexive moves: liquidations cascade. A delta spike with price acceleration into a known liquidation zone behaves differently from organic flow.
